new install of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 does not start

Question

I installed Photoshop Lightroom 6 on my new computer with Windows11. Starting the application it asks for the adobe id. After accepting the login and send code nothing happens. LR does not start.

LR is uninstalled on my old computer, but I did not deactivate.

What can I do now?

I'm not sure what you can do. Lightroom 6 is obsolete software, no longer supported by Adobe and which would never have been tested on Windows 11, so there is no certainty that it can be run on that platform. The same applies to the later Mac operating systems, LR6 can't even be installed on those.

It might be that some other users have managed to get LR6 working on Windows 11, so might be able to offer some advice.
