New Mobile User Looking for Best Practice and Tips for a Second Laptop

Hi everyone!

I use Lightroom Classic everyday and fully understand what I'm doing with it.  My catalogue and photos are stored on my windows laptop (some older photos on an external SSD).  I currently only use lightroom mobile as a way to upload from my android phone straight into my catalogue, and then delete them from mobile once I've got them on the laptop.

I am shortly going to go on a trip for several weeks and won't be taking my main laptop. I will be taking a much smaller and lower spec one. I want to take lots of photos during the trip and and need to work out the best system for taking them home, and preferably getting some keywording/editing started.

Should I install Lightroom (cloud-based) on the small laptop?  If so, can I put the full raw photos on this, and will it upload just a copy or the full image? I'm asking on this forum as I don't really know the cloud-based version of Lightroom and what I can do with it.  Does it use less processing power than LRClassic?

If anyone can help me to understand the basic principles for using a second laptop, give me some tips, or direct me to a good tutorial that would be great!

Or, should I install Lightroom Classic on the second laptop, create a second catalogue, and then export the catalogue when I get home?

Thanks!

NB I will be backing them up on both an SD card and durable SSD as well as the laptop.
