New Updated Lightroom keeps freezing

I downloaded the updated version of Lightroom today. Immediately when I started using it, my laptop began to consistently freeze up. The longer I stayed in LIghtroom, the more it kept freezing. Sometimes taking up to a minute to unfreeze so i cn get back to work. This was never an issue until the updated version. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? ANd tips on what i can do?  Can I go back to the older version if this can't be resolved?

I am really struggling with the same thing. Every time i ise any of the AI features it freezes. Absolutely impossible to use ! I have lapds pf RAM (48 gigs) and loads of space available. What is going on?

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. When did it start freezing? Also, go to Settings > Update & Security and check if you have any pending updates there. Thank you for your suggestions. I can't seem to find the Settings section in Lightroom. WHere should I look for that tab?
ALso, it started freezing as soon as i started editing my first batch of photos.

I understand this might be confusing, but the update isn't within Lightroom itself—it’s related to your device settings. Could you please follow these steps to check for any pending updates?

  1. Click on the Windows icon at the bottom-left corner of your screen.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Navigate to Update & Security and see if there are any updates available for your device. ^Ritika
