Where, and how, do I make a folder to import the photos in my cloud to play with them in LR and PS? Is it necessary to have the BETA version?

Lightroom (Cloud/Mobile versions) imports and stores your photo files in your Cloud storage. You do not have control over "folders" in the Cloud (although Albums can be gathered in a 'folder' set. )

If you select a photo in Lr to edit in Photoshop, then the file is 'downloaded' from the Cloud to a Ps document, that you edit, then a [Save] will automatically sync the new Ps file back up to the Lr ecosystem. (No 'local' folder is necessary.)

Athough there can be situations where you might Export files from Lr to a local folder (of your choice), edit them in Ps, then Import the new Ps files into the Lr Catalog.

"Is it necessary to have the BETA version?" I presume you mean the Ps beta. - No. But you do need a subscription that includes Photoshop (for Pc Mac or iPad).

Thank you. I have purchased PS, LR, LRC, Creative Cloud, Adobe Cloud
Creator...

I downloaded PS beta. I'm so new at all of this. I've never used any of
these programs before. My new camera has thrown me for a loop. I've been
practicing different settings and trying different things.

Thanks for your help,
Marquita

Installing the 'Beta' Ps might be "jumping in at the deep end of the pool" for someone starting with the apps.

Rather than experiment with the Beta 'test' version (which you could uninstall) it might be better to install the tested 24.5.0 version, and wait for it to mature into a full release of Ps.
