No feedback for button presses in full screen

When I am chosing (z) and rejecting (x) photos in full screen mode (f), 

I don't get feedback (notification with white text on blue background) on screen that I did those actions on first press of the button. I have to hammer the key repeatedly so that the feedback is showing.

The problem is only there in full screen. Anyone know a solution? I have an AMD RX580 GPU with the most recent driver. I had the problem since I started using the software month ago.
