Not able to edit files imported to LR cloud

I have imported some JPEG files from my camera, it shows the preview and that they are there in the gallery, but when I click the "edit" button to begin editing, it just keeps turning. The images will not load and allow me to edit. I have imported them to LR web version on to my windows desktop and chromebook. What am I doing wrong? Is there something else I can do?
