Not Syncing on Mac

I am having a similar issue to several other Mac users with the Lightroom CC application. In addition to photos not syning and showing errors/corruptions on files that I have checked via other applications to not being corrupted, it slows down my entire mac and has even broken Finder access to the external harddrive i use for backup. (I have checked that the drive is not corrupt)

 

I have also checked the web version and yes, the web version does sync. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the app and made sure that the app, creative clous, and my mac are all up to date.

Please share Additional Questions to Help Investigate:
 • What macOS version are you using?
 • Share system info from the Lightroom help menu. Copy & paste it here.
 • Is the external drive APFS, HFS+, ExFAT, or NTFS?
 • Do the sync errors occur on photos stored on the external drive?
 • Share a screenshot of the errors
