Hi

i plan a longer trip in the desert where i don't have a internet connection. I store my images on a external storage that can create his own wifi connection. I like to use a ipad pro then a laptop is to big and heavy. Is it possible to store my raw files on the external storage and edit them in Lightroom CC mobile on the ipad? My ipad pro has not that much space to store the images on it. Is this possible? Otherwise Lightroom CC is not usable an i have to finde a other software.

Thanks

Mischa

No, it's not possible to have LRCC edit images that are stored outside the app's space on an iDevice. The images first have to be imported into the app before they can be edited.

this mean that they have to be stored in the adobe cloud? Is there a other option to edit the images with a adobe product or do i have to switch to other software?

To be clear, you can import the images into the LRCC app, with syncing paused so they don't upload to the cloud, then you can edit those images. But then you'd have to export the images as jpegs (you have various destination options) to consolidate the edits, then you'd need to delete the copy from the LRCC app before resuming syncing.

Are there other Adobe apps that you could use instead, in the way that you want, i.e. from the external drive? I don't really know, but I expect someone else may have some suggestions
