Quando il processo non si avvia non dà nessun segnale di errore, rimane la piccola barra blu bloccata e basta, il blocco avviene con tutti i tipi di file, in genere uso raw o jpeg, uso da lightroom "Modifica immagine" in ambito firefly.

    Hi @rino274865632jbl,

Thank you for the additional details. Since the blue progress bar starts but then gets stuck with no error, and this happens with both RAW and JPEG files, it appears the Edit Image in Firefly handoff starts but does not complete.

Could you please try these tests:

    1. Close Lightroom, then hold Alt + Shift while launching it and confirm the preference reset when prompted. Test Edit Image in Firefly again.

    2. Clear the Lightroom cache: Go to Edit > Preferences > Cache, clear the available cache, restart Lightroom, and test again.

    3. If you’re using a VPN, proxy, or filtered/corporate network, temporarily disconnect it or try another network (for example, a mobile hotspot) and check whether the upload completes.

Also, please go to Help > System Info, click Copy, and paste the information here.

If it still gets stuck after these tests, a short screen recording showing the process from selecting the photo through Edit in > Firefly > Edit Image to the point where the blue progress bar stops would also be very helpful.

    Hi @rino274865632jbl,

Thank you for reporting this. I understand that every time you try to use "Edit in Firefly" (Generate using Firefly), the process fails to start, and you need to close and reopen Lightroom for it to work again. That's definitely not the expected behavior.

A few targeted things to try:

    • Sign out and back into your Adobe account within Lightroom. Go to Help > Sign Out, wait a moment, then sign back in. The Firefly handoff relies on your active Adobe session token, and if that token has gone stale, it can silently prevent the redirect to Firefly from completing. A fresh sign-in forces a new token without needing a full app restart.

    • The "Edit in Firefly" workflow opens a browser session to hand off the image. If your default browser has aggressive pop-up blocking, privacy extensions (e.g., uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger), or is set to block redirects, it may silently prevent the Firefly page from loading. Try temporarily setting a clean browser (with no extensions) as your default and test again.

    • Some security suites (especially on Windows 11) can intermittently block the outbound connection that Lightroom uses to generate the Firefly handoff URL. Check whether your firewall or antivirus logs show any blocked connections from Lightroom around the time the issue occurs.

To help us narrow this down further, could you answer a couple of questions:

    • When the process fails to start, do you see any error message in Lightroom, or does it simply do nothing (no progress bar, no browser opening)?

    • Does this happen on every photo, or only on specific image types (e.g., RAW vs. JPEG, very large files)?

    • Which specific Firefly option are you choosing: Edit Image, Generate Video from Photo, or Start a Mood Board?

    • Also, please copy & paste your system info from the Help > System info here.

This information will help us pinpoint whether this is a session/token issue, a connectivity problem, or something specific to the image handoff process.

    Looking forward to your reply.
