my old lightroom has disappeared and with it abt 25000 photos.

message coming up reads:

Adobe Application Manager, required to start your trial, is missing or damaged.

Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from

http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager.

but the link doesnt work.

How can I get the old LR back?

Confusion reigns!

You say "How can I get the old LR back?", then you say "Yes it was installed as part of amonthly subscription."

For a definitive clarification-

Start your "Lightroom".

Open the MENU > HELP > SYSTEM INFO...

Make a screen-clip of the report.

Post the clip in your next reply.

("LR classic" is the upgraded version of the "old Lightroom" )

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

Hi Christat,

Do you know what older version of Lightroom you had? Depending on the version you had, the way to get your installation repaired may differ. Please also tell us what kind of system (OS and version) you have.

The good news is that your 25,000 photos are still in their folders on your system somewhere, and Lightroom's catalog file with your ratings, organization, and develop data is still there, too. Once we get LR fixed, your data will be intact.

OK, well this gets a little complicated, because Adobe has changed the name of Lightroom several times and what is Lightroom today is not the same as what was Lightroom in the past.

Did you install your older Lightroom with the square icon as part of an Adobe subscription? Or did you purchase it directly? If you purchased it, do you have your serial number available to be able to reinstall it?

Do you have a subscription now? Are you running the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app, and logged in with your Adobe ID?
