Question

Open files in Lightroom.

Hi! It turns out that when I'm in Lightroom and I want to edit some file in Photoshop, it opens the Photoshop Beta application; and I don't want that. What I want is to open the normal version of Photoshop, how could I set it to always open the normal editing? Thank you.

Lightroom always tries to launch the latest installed version of Photoshop. If that is not the version you want to use, one workaround is to keep the desired instance of Photoshop launched already before hitting the "Edit in Photoshop" command in Lightroom. This should open the file in the Ps app that is already running rather than launching the latest installed version.

If you are using Lightroom (not Lightroom Classic), then I don't think you have any other choice than to uninstall Photoshop beta.

I hope in the future they will add the option to choose as in Lightroom Classic.
