Opening Photos in Adobe Bridge

Good morning from a wet and miserable Northern Vietnam,

And please bear with me as I am lost.

I have been using Photoshop, Lightroom, and Bridge for a long time and my workflow has always been to import photos via Lightroom, open them in Bridge and, if needed be, finishing them off in Photoshop. not sure if this is right or wrong but it worked for me.

Since I installed Lightroom CC on my phone, thinks have gone haywire.

I have managed to get Lightroom CC on my phone with Lightroom CC Classic on my laptop but when I want to open the synced phots, I cannot.

The Photos synced with my phone are on my laptop in users > user (me) > Pictures > Lightroom > Mobile Downloads.Irdata.

I am guessing Irdata is just a catalogue file but where are my pictures? I just do not seem to be able to find them.

I am very sure that I am being stupid here and overlooking something very basic but I cannot figure it out.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Best regards,

Hanno

    A couple of things:

    1. "Mobile Downloads.lrdata" is not a catalog file, it is in fact a folder (on Windows) or package (on Mac). Open the folder/package and you'll find a sub-folder structure which will contain the downloaded synced photos.

    2. In the LR Classic Preferences>Lightroom Sync tab, there is an option to choose a different folder location for the synced downloads, and even a different folder structure (although that will only work for new downloads, you'd have to move the existing photos manually within the Folders Panel).

Thank you for your answer Mr. Wilde.

This worked by double-clicking and using the new catalogue.

    Best regards and many thanks,
