Option to edit in photoshop does not display when editing in Lightroom mobile

why can't I see the option to round trip from Lightroom mobile to photoshop on my iPad.   My apps are up to date.   Is there some specific setting that needs to be set?  It is driving me nuts as all the videos on round trip processing never mention what's to do if you don't see the option.

Hello @Desertrat

Are you trying this in the Device tab?  If so, please first import the image and then open the image in the Lightroom tab, and in the Share menu for the image you should see Edit in Photoshop.

If that's simply not happening, does reinstalling the Lightroom app help?

THANKS. That was it! No where was there an explanation that within the Lightroom mobile app you first needed to import the photo into the Lightroom App Library of images versus editing it from the device tab which houses the device Photo gallery.
A significant and important distinction between these two methods. One gives you the ability to round trip between LR and PS and the other doesn’t. Thanks so much for guiding me!

I appreciate your feedback.  It shows we need to improve our documentation.  I will confer with the team on that.

Kind regards,

Silly question- Do you have subscription for Photoshop for iPad installed on your iPad?

Are you clicking on the [Share] icon and choosing 'Edit in Photoshop' from the share menu?

(Are the videos you are seeing specifically about iPad, or could they be for Lightroom-Desktop (Mac or PC)?

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

Yes I have a Photoshop subscription and I am logged into it on my iPad. Yes the tutorials are specifically for iPad Lightroom mobile and Photoshop on the iPad. Yes I am selecting the share button within the Lightroom mobile app which is supposed to have an option to edit the photo I just edited there in Photoshop. I’m stumped as to why I don’t have that option.
