P: Crashing when trying to export image on Windows Surface Pro 8

Crashing every single time I try to export my image. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and updating to the latest version (8.3.1), but nothing. After clicking 'export' a separate window appears saying that "Lightroom has encountered a problem and needs to close." Apart from that, it doesn't give me any details apart from a box in which I can type in the exact issue and send an error report. What gives?

This crash has been investigated and has been found to be caused by a 3rd party application.  The application Astrill VPN is the issue with the file AProxy64.dll. If you have the ability to tell this application to ignore Lightroom then that should solve the issue.  Otherwise, you will have to remove or disable the application.

I found your crash report - thank you for submitting it. I've logged a ticket with the team to review the crash report.

Since you are using Windows and Export is failing, your GPU driver may be suspect. I recommend going to your manufacturer's website and downloading their latest studio driver to see if the crashes abate.

Hey, @Chris38205979r7cy. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. Thanks for reaching out. I've located the crash reports submitted with the account you've used for Community.

Your computer has Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics running an older GPU driver (32.0.101.6129), and the most recent GPU drivers available on Intel's website are from 2-May-2025 (32.0.101.6790). Head here to download and install the drivers: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/208664/intel-core-i71185g7-processor-12m-cache-up-to-4-80-ghz-with-ipu/downloads.html

If you're unsure about updating the GPU drivers, please seek support from Intel (hardware manufacturer) for your device. Head here to learn more: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-cc/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html

Thanks!

Please tell use which Lightroom you are using.

Is it the cloud version (called "Lightroom") or is it Lightroom Classic?

A moderator can then move your post to the correct forum.

You have posted in "Using the community" which is for forum issues.
