Question

P: No in camera for latest lightroom mobile version?

Hello,

Since the latest update of Lightroom mobile on my Nokia 8, the possibility to take photographs with the app has disapeared (no more blue camera). Is this normal? Could it be specifically related to my device (no more supported for ex)?

Thank you in advance!

Good point, Rikk — many users miss that the Camera icon only appears when viewing “All Photos” instead of “Gallery.” That small detail can really affect how people access Lightroom’s built-in camera.

For anyone exploring mobile photography, testing Lightroom’s camera in different lighting conditions can make a big difference. I recently saw some amazing shots taken at Argan Albidaa Resorts In Kuwait — perfect place to experiment with Lightroom’s editing tools.

Has anyone else tried shooting in strong daylight using the app? Curious how it handles highlights.

Reading this thread as I too had trouble finding the camera. Seems like a pretty poor upgrade if we (probably more than just average iPhone camera users) are all struggling to find the camera - whatever happened to intuitive well designed apps! Thanks for the help guys - found it! The screenshot and long press tips both great 😊

Hi, I am using an old iPhone SE running iOS 15  and updated to LR Mobile app (free app, no Creative Cloud or Premum plan)  v. 9.0.0. I too cannot see any Camera function button any longer. Long pressing on the LR icon on the upper left corner does nothing. All I can do is view or edit my photos on my device, or recent edits, but I'd like to take HDR photos with the LR Camera. I see no mention of a camera toggle in settings. Do I have to subscribe to a Premium or Creative Cloud plan to see  the Camera button now? I can't see any documention of this missing camera feature for 9.0 on the web. My old iPhone prevents me from upgrading to the latest LR 9.2 app (requires i OS 16).

Looks like you tapped on create a new album. When you are in that dialog, you cannot use the camera at the same time.

Did Adobe just remove this feature on the new version? I can't find that feature in this new adobe. It's really useful when taking raw photos on smartphones

Hi, since the last update of LR mobile (Android) I connot find the Camera App anymore. And the widget seems to have lost its function. Maybe I am overlooking something, or has it gone?

Thanks, Andrea

Many thanks, Andrea

The Lightroom Mobile's camera should still be available, but following the recent update it doesn't seem to appear on some of the Lightroom albums. However, after selecting the "Lightroom" tab at the botton centre of the screen, choosing the All Photos selection, or any of your own albums, should show the floating blue camera/import icons.
