Past 2 days LR is laggy to the point almost unworkable, desktop version

Since last couple of days, Adobe LR is laggy and frequently hangs needing a reboot of the system, seen mostly when using “Remove Tool”. Hasn’t happened before.

    Hi ​@srravi,

    Thanks for the additional detail. Since you’re using the Lightroom Desktop (cloud) version and the slowdown seems to be most noticeable around the Remove Tool, I’d like to gather a bit more information before we investigate further.

    Could you please share:

    • Your full System Info. Lightroom > Help > System Info. Copy & paste it here.

    • A short screen recording showing normal editing and then using the Remove Tool, causing the lag/hang.

    Also, please let me know if the lag occurs only with the Remove Tool or throughout the app. Does it happen on all photos or only specific files?

    A couple of quick tests:

    • Turn off GPU from Preferences > Performance and let us know how it goes.
    • Temporarily pause sync and check whether performance improves
    • Try the same workflow on a newly imported image and let us know if the behavior is the same

    This will help us better determine the issue.
