Photo dpi decreased when editing in Photoshop

I really enjoy using Lightroom (cloud), but we need the capability to "edit in" Photoshop at 300dpi.  I do a lot of enlarging and printing, so this is a major issue.  Its forcing me to use Lighroom Classic just for this featuer.  This is a total pain because I really want to edit on my cloud account.

Your photo actually doesn't change dpi. All that happens is that the metadata tag gets deleted. The photo is the exact same resolution. The dpi tag is just a suggestion for when you send a file out for printing. It has no bearing on the actual quality of your image. It really should not have any effect on enlarging and printing. Do your math on the pixels (which determine the actual quality).

Thanks, this is super helpful! I did a side by side and see it now. My
6192x4128 photo when opened from Lr is 25.8 inches x 17.2 inches at 240dpi,
and when I open it from LrC it is 20.64 inches x 13.76 inches at 300dpi.

I didn't pick up on that before...
