Photo Sync Issues

I may be doing something wrong but, recently uploaded a shoot in Lightroom in app for MacOS.  I shared the album for viewing and commenting and now the album is gone.  I can follow the link to the online view and comment album and when I log into my own Creative Cloud Lightroom Online account, the album is there but will not show in app.  While I could edit online, I would rather do in app as intended.  I'm also noticing different albums in each although all were uploaded in app. What might I be doing wrong?

What is the sync status of the Lightroom desktop app (tap on the cloud icon top right)? The issues you are seeing would suggest either that syncing has stalled in the Lightroom app, or that you are somehow logged into a different account.
