photomerge producing strange lighting effects

Since September of 2021 photomerge in lightroom is making really strange lighting effects appear on portions of landscape panoramas.  It is usually the area where the sun is.  The other parts of the photo look gray and fuzzy, and no amount of settings seems to fix it.  Exporting all of those photos and then creating the photomerge in photoshop does not result in the same lighting problem.
