Photos do not transfer to Lightroom with Presets

Hello, I am new to LightRoom but have watched the tutorials online and have also asked a friend that uses the app as well.  I am using presets from the FLTR and Lightroom Presets app. When I select OPEN then LAUNCH IN LIGHTROOM, the photos are transferring to Lightroom as the original photo will no preset/filter.  Any suggestions? I tried to chat with a representative but that wasn't much help. I am doing this all on my iPhone.
