Photos from SD card to LR isn't working

I insert my sd card to a card reader, pull into LR, see all the photos but when I import it doesn't import them.  I tried a recovery and when they recover they have the LR symbol on them.  What can I do to get these photos?

Now I just tried pulling another session from an sd card, put it in the card reader (a brand new card reader) and it's giving me an error, asking me to skip or to continue.  I took the card out and put it back in and it says I need to format the card and doesn't recognize the E drive.

Thanks for the update.

Copy the files present in your SD Card to the computer's memory and then try to import them. Is it happening with all the external devices you are connecting? Can you share the error screenshot if you get it again? Happy to help!

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out. Which version of Lightroom are you using? Do you see any error messages? 

Can you try copying a few images to the internal storage and importing them to Lightroom?

What is the file format o the images?

Hi Ranjisha - It's Lightroom 6, I do believe.  I don't remember an error message. File format is RAW and JPEG, I have did them as both. How do I copy to internal storage?  I would LOVE the help.  Never had an issue until the last month and it has been off an on since.
