Photos not showing up.

When I go into editing my photos in light room on my macbook pro, on the app version it shows up my photos even when I have one selected it doesn't show up on the screen where you can see it to edit it. I'm using version number 5.0 from the mac store and have a paid account with adobe photography plan. I have attached a screenshot as to what is occuring on my lightroom. I have tried deleting it and reinstalling it completely from my macbook. have you guys got any ideas as to why this is happening.
