Photos wiped out after Lightroom Android update.

Hello.

I had last updated the app today and, upon returning, all my images are gone. My whole gallery since 2023, wiped clean.

I had tried restarting my phone and even force-stopping the app (alongside clearing the cache), nothing worked. I even tried signing out and back into my account.

Lightroom v11.1.0,

Samsung S23 Ultra.

Thank you.

 Hello,

I am experiencing a serious issue with Lightroom on my mobile device. All the preset collections that I previously created or saved from the community have disappeared, and I am also unable to see my previously edited photos. This issue happened after an update that I was prompted to do on 18th December. After going back into the app after the update, everything had disappeared.

Details:

Device: Samsung S21 FE

Lightroom Version: 11.1.1

Problem:

All my custom presets and preset collections are missing.

Previously edited photos are not visible in the app.

The issue occurred after the last update done in the app on 18th December 2025.

Already done: I have checked the recycle bin and all folders and sections within the app, but nothing has reappeared.

This is very concerning as I have spent a lot of time creating these presets, and I use them for my work and photography. I would appreciate your urgent help in recovering my presets and photos.

Thank you.

Hey, @kuzuma_balls9010. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I've checked the account you're signed into the community with, and you currently don't have an active subscription. Have you used any other email address to sign in to Lightroom on your mobile before?

If you were logged in to Lightroom mobile with an email account that had an active subscription, the images, edits, and other data would've synced to the cloud. You can sign in again using the correct email address to access the images stored in the cloud.

If you didn't have an active subscription, the images are stored in local caches and data. Do you have any applications or managers on the Android device that can clear local caches? Lightroom relies on the local caches for uninterrupted access. If the local caches are wiped, the data becomes irrecoverable.

We hope you understand.

Thanks!

Hello @Sameer K.

Unfortunately, I don't have an active subscription. I've been running on a free account since I first used the app, which was back in 2023.

As for the applications and/or managers, I only cleared the cache via my settings. From what I know, there isn't any other applications that could run and/or clear said caches. In addition to context, I only cleared the cache via my settings and not the data.

Cheers.

Thanks for the additional information! I was about to suggest restarting the device, but you've already done that. Please go to the Files app on your phone, then Internal Storage, then Pictures, and check if you see a folder labeled AdobeLightroom. If you do, open the folder and check if your images are there.

Thanks,
Nikunj
