Photos won’t export

Today I am trying to export a wedding gallery and it has been extremely frustrating. My screen says "preparing..." but they DO NOT save. How can I resolve this issue? I just updated Lightroom although before I did the update I was having the issue this morning (I thought updating might fix the issue.)

I have an iMac. It's the 2017 version.
