Hi @GuyFawx

Thank you for reporting this issue and for already trying several troubleshooting steps. We appreciate the effort. Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused. It appears this may be a legacy issue resurfacing in a newer version.

To help us investigate further, could you please share a few additional details?

  • Collect logs
It looks like you're using a Windows machine. Check the Windows Event Viewer (Application logs) for any entries related to Photoshop around the time of the crash. These logs will help our engineering team identify the root cause more efficiently.
  • Temporary workaround:
In the meantime, you may try installing an earlier version of Photoshop (e.g., version 27.4) via Creative Cloud and see if it works.

Looking forward to your response!

Hi @GuyFawx ,

This usually solves the issue: Reset Photoshop Preferences

Steps (Win):

1. Close Photoshop completely.
2. Hold: Ctrl + Alt + Shift
3. While holding those keys, double-click the Photoshop icon.
4. When prompted, click Yes to delete preferences.
5. Let Photoshop launch.
