Question

Photoshop doesn't sync my edits back to Lightroom

Dear community,

I bought a new MacBook Air with the new M1 processor and BigSur this December and installed Adobe Creative Cloud.

Unfortunately I noticed the following issue in my workflow with Lightroom 4.1 and Photoshop:

- Open an image from LR in PS

- Do some edits

- Save the image

- Close the image

Result: my edits from PS are not visible in LR. Still the same image before I started above workflow.

Expected result: image is updated in LR with edits from PS

btw: I did the same workflow with LRClassic and it works as expected.

Anyone an idea why this does not sync? I checked alredy several forums and youtube videos but didn't found the solution so far.

Any help is appreciated.

My experience is this in Lr v4.4-

Select a photo (a JPG), Edit In Ps, [Ctrl+Shift+E],

A TIF opens in Ps.

Make a B&W adjustment-

Save & Close,-New created TIF file appears stacked in Lr (on top of the JPG!)

[Right-Click] for the Unstack command-

Both files appear in Lr library.

If you do not see the same, is it possible you have a Filter active that is limiting the photos you see? Or a Sort Order that is placing the new file in a different part of the Library.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.4.1, Photoshop 27.8, ACR 18.4, Lightroom 9.4, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .

I have the same problem and cannot get back to LR the picture I have edited in PS.

I used to work editing my pictures in PS and then back to LRC and it was working great but cannot do that anylonger.

Any helps would be welcome 🙂
