Photoshop Lightroom v5.2 Storing Photos Only On The Cloud

I'm using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Version 5.2 under Microsoft Windows 10. The cache of photos "Stored Locally" on my hard disk is getting very large and unwieldy. Is it possible to store all these photos only on the cloud? Is it advisable? Are there any implications w.r.t. other members of the Creative Cloud Suite, say, Photoshop itself? If this seems a reasonable proposition, is there a procedure to make it so?

Yes, it is not only possible, it is the default. There is no compelling reason to store a copy of your photos locally, except perhaps your own peace of mind that you'll have a local copy. Please note that if you uncheck the option to store a copy locally, it does not mean that Lightroom will never store any copy. If you edit photos, Lightroom will download a copy to speed up editing. That copy is deleted again after a while, but not immediately.
