Photoshop no longer opening Lightroom files

Hi,

I've recently upgraded Lightroom and Photoshop to the latest programs and now I have to go a  really long round about way of opening my images in Photoshop.

I've seen other people have had this problem but I haven't seen many solutions.

Can anyone help?

Happy to go back to using older programs if required.
