Photoshop to Lightroom catalog issues

I'm trying out Lightroom after using Photoshop for years. Having installed Lightroom Classic, I proceeded to try importing Photoshop catalog. The result seems to be a hotmess.

1.. Only about 2/3 of the catalog seems to have imported

2. My keyword tags are a mess. Some of the structure I had created in Photoshop survived, but much of it didn't

3. I hate the lack of the full folder structure. I imported files to Photoshop with a file structure where each year had its own folder and within that folder was a folder for every day I had photos. Inside Lightroom Classic I just have a list of folders without the year structure.

This all seems insane to me.

Hi @dfoxmi ,

Assuming you imported your photos to Lightroom "In place," without copying them to another location, you can add the top level folders. Just right click on of your Folders in the Folder panel, and choose "Show Parent Folder."

You could repeat this multiple times if you have a heirarchy. For example, my photos are organized as

                 E:\somepath\Originals\Year\yyyy-mm-dd\

Which is one of the default ways of asking Lightroom to import. For example (from my library):

Thanks, that takes care of #3, but it still isn't importing, after three tries, my entire catalog and the keywords are a mess.

Kind of a shame because I like the ability to search for a keyword to, I assume, apply it, but this is such a mess for me that I don't see it as being useful overall.
