Physically cannot fix the "suspected duplicates" issue

I have been unable to import all of my photos & it has led the loss of multiple hundreds of photos. It keeps saying they're suspected imports & they aren't. I can't turn this feature off no mater what I do. I am using the latest version of macOS & Lightroom. Please advise to a resolution. Thank you
