Plugin accessibility for LR CLOUD

Does anyone have any news, updates or information regarding the ability to use and/or build plugins for Lightroom Cloud? I would love to know if Adobe has plans for this in the near future or if this is a definite no go. Thanks so much for any insight!

People have asked for this ever since the cloudy version was released. So many many years. The fact that it hasn't happened should tell you that it is probably not a major priority. I also agree with @Conrad_C conrad that an issue might be that Adobe wants to have complete parity between the mobile OS versions and the desktop OS versions and technically that means we probably won't get it anytime soon.

Probably one of the obstacles is that, unlike Lightroom Classic, cloud Lightroom tries to keep the same feature set across all of its clients: desktop, mobile, and web browser app. So (I am guessing) that any extension that they might consider for cloud Lightroom would have to be something they can guarantee availability for across all platforms, so that a plug-in applied on the desktop is guaranteed to be editable in Lightroom on a phone or tablet too.

The closest they have come so far is the Lightroom Connector. It allows other companies to build extensions for output from cloud Lightroom to things like printing companies and the Adobe Portfolio website builder. Hopefully they will work out how to make actual plug-ins available for image editing.

Plug-Ins aren't currently supported in the Cloud Based Lightroom but you can add your vote to the feature request by pressing the Upvote button and add comments on this thread:
