Preset conversion failure in Lightroom

Hi. I just purchased and downloaded a bunch of presets in .lrtemplate formatting that will not sync within my Lightroom. I've tried instructions from other discussions to no avail.

Using Lightroom Version 6.1 for Windows on my laptop. It says I'm caught up on updates. I can't figure out what to do. Help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

These .lrtemplate presets are local adjustment presets for Lightroom Classic. Lightroom desktop does not support local adjustment presets at all.

Thank you, Johan. The only way to get them to work would be to switch to Lightroom Classi? There is no other way to convert for Lightroom desktop?

Correct. Lightroom desktop does not support local adjustment presets, so there is nothing you can do with these presets in Lightroom desktop. Only Lightroom Classic (note that there is no 'Lightroom CC' anymore) supports local adjustment presets.

What was the source for these presets? Do you have a link to a webpage?

This is the website (below). I've also attached the instructions given. Some of the pictures don't match what my Lightroom experience is like. I also don't have a "local adjustments folder" it shows in his images. When I try importing the way I (used to) know how in the develop section of editing I get the import error.

Instructions are for Lightroom Classic, not old Lightroom perpetual. Also instructions are for Lightroom Classic version 11 or newer (at v11, the Masking button was added)

Instructions very much not valid for your copy of Lightroom.

One part of the instruction is to determine where existing presets are kept, did you copy them to that location, that location changed sometime around LrC v7.3 (at v7.3 .lrtemplate becam .xls, and location changed)

Not sure if these templates work for post Lightroom 6.14

Not a member at KelvinDesigns, you will have o contact them for advise on their presets, etc.
