Preview not editable

Can someone help me as to why when I go to edit my photos it saws preview not editable? And then I have to wait for 5-10 minutes for it to download before I can edit the photo. And I have to do it for each photo.

this is in mobile lightroom

Are you on a slow -possibly mobile- internet connection while you do this? Then it makes sense. To avoid this you can do the following. Make sure you are on a fast enough WiFi connection. Put all your images in albums, tap on the three dots of each album and choose 'Store Locally'. That will download all images to your device, so you do not need an internet connection anymore to edit them. In order to save space, you can set in the preferences that you only want to download smart previews.

I can't reproduce the slow performance you describe.  Does it always take the app that long (5-10 minutes) to download the smart preview to edit?  You screenshot showed you had a few things going on, including sync up to the cloud as well.

 

If this slow download performance is still there, can you describe your network speed?  maybe visit speedtest.net in a browser to confirm and let us know?

 

Does an app restart help?
