Previous edits reverting on iPad

I’ve been noticing lately that some, not all, of my edits on raw files have been reverting back to original. Example: I’ll edit an image, export or share it fine. But if I close Lightroom and return later the image has reverted back to it’s original state. This happens on roughly half my edited images. Edits are automaticlly saved, correct? I mean it isn’t necessary to manually “save” edits I’d there? Any ideas?
