Problem with editing masks on an iPad

I have on several occasions  wanted to go back to a mask I have made in Lightroom CC on my ipad and edit it.

When I select the mask layer the previous mask flashes showing it's original shape then disappears which makes it difficult to make changes to it. Is there a way of keeping the mask outline permanently on while editing?

Yes, but the button isn’t intuitive because it’s way up at the top away from the other masking controls. (It took me forever to realize it was there.) Tap the mask visibility button near the top right corner of the screen, as shown in the demo below. When the red dot is on the button, it’s enabled.
