PS elements keywords

just upgraded to LR from PS elements on Mac.

My keywords didn't transfer... saw a post online about importing, but must have been an older version, as that option isn't here.

also - when i tried to bring in all 50K pictures on my hard drive, LR told me I'm puot of space and can't...

any help?
