Question

radial gradient mask shape controls not working

After some time of use (let's say roughly after one hour of continuative use) when I apply a radial gradient mask it's shape controls (size, orientation) and red overlay doesn't work, so I can't move or reshape the mask... for some time deselecting the mask and then selecting it again, or moving the mouse out of the photo area, improve a little bit, but after some other minuts I have to restart Lr to get it working again.

Hi @biemmezeta! 👋 Welcome to the community!

That's odd! Do you remember when this behavior started? Was it after a recent update to Lightroom or your operating system? Is the radial gradient mask the only thing affected? Could you also share your System Info? You can find it in Lightroom under Help > System Info. Just copy the info to a text file and attach it to your response.

Thanks a bunch!

Best, Alek

Hi @Aleke,

thank you for your interest and reply.

You can find system info file attached to my reply.

This behaviour is there from some time, before the latest update, but I decided to open a case now because it's becoming quite annoying while working with quite large photosets and having less time than usual.

Thank you,

best

Hi @Aleke,

I managed to make a two video about the before and after restarting Lr to get a working mask.
In the first video you can see that the mask (radial gradient) is impossible to grab even if I select it from the mask list and when I select it it is visible. Moving the mouse to hover the mask make the mask disappear. After restarting Lr everything works the way I think it should.

I'm not sure if I'm able to reproduce this behaviour with other gradients, I'll try.

Thank you for your help.
