RAW in Ecosystem?

I've been confused about this for so long that I completely avoid the convenience of Lightroom CC on desktop + mobile and just use Lightroom Classic. However, I'm coming up on a trip and the CC versions would be very useful, so I'm looking for a very simple and straight-forward clarification on how RAW is managed in Lightroom CC for desktop + mobile.

From my own experience, LR CC on desktop + mobile only allows access to smart previews from my synced RAW images, which ALWAYS look fuzzier and lower res than the orignal RAWs. My assumption is that for many, this isn't an issue because the full resolution, full size RAW images aren't needed, and the lower res, smaller smart previews are fnctional enough. However, I shoot 42mp RAWs and as such am able to crop extensively in post without losing quality. Doing that on smart previews returns very poor results. So, am I missing something? Is there a way to work with the full RAW files through the CC ecosystem? Or is my only option smart previews?

It's actually quite simple: Lightroom Classic only syncs smart previews, so it's logical that they are still only smart previews when you access these online images with any other version of Lightroom. Lightroom desktop will upload originals (including raw originals) if you import images directly into it. Do note that you could quickly run out of your 20 GB online space if you have the standard Photography plan.

If I import RAWs directly into Lightroom, will Lightroom Classic also have access to those same images?

If the Lightroom Classic catalog is synced, then yes. Lightroom Classic downloads everything that's in the cloud.

Add (Import) the RAW originals to Lightroom.

Be aware that a 20GB allocation can fill very quickly with large files.

TBMK the RAWs will replace the Proxy files (previously synced from Lr-CLassic) in Adobe Cloud storage.
