Realy odd Lightroom/Photoshop behaviour

Why when I chose an image from lightroom to edit in a photoshop, the image is being imported as tif and PSD? Why when I finish the edit the image is not added back to lightroom library? How can I fix that? Please respond <removed for privacy>

Lightroom, by default, opens an image as TIF when you choose [Edit in Photoshop].

To add the image back to the Lr Library you must simply [Save] and [Close] the image after finishing the Ps editing.

Lightroom must remaining running in the background,

and do not use [Save As] or any of the [Export] functions in Ps. (These actions will require you to Import the new image to the Lr catalog.)
