Red exclamation mark on Cloud sync icon [was: Not valid]

Lightroom recently started indicating that some items are not valid with a red exclamation mark. What is this, where does it come from and what can I do about it? I have already logged out and logged in but my knowledge is certainly not sufficient. Thanks for so far.

These are Cloud icons for Lightroom-Classic.  I do not know if they are the same for Lightroom that you are using-

I use Lightroom, not the classic,  version: 6.5 x64 [ 20230808-1935-ddaacdd ] (Aug  8 2023) 

NGL-versie: 1.33.0.1 running on Windows 10 Home 2009

When you click on the Cloud Icon with the red exclamation point, it should give you a dialog and explain what is wrong. Can you post a screenshot of the dialog?

You seem to be using the cloud version of Lightroom (which is named "Lightroom"), not Lightroom Classic.

Could you please include your screen capture using the "Insert Photos" icon? My web browser will not open attachments here.

 

Also, pelase tell us if you are using Lightroom (Lr icon) or Lightroom Classic (LrC icon). Please include the version NUMBER of your software and the version NUMBER of your operating system.
