Remove tool problem and mask subtraction problem

1). Version 8.4
2). Windows 10

3a). When using the remove tool, sometimes drawing multiple selections will make all previous selections disappear and you must restart.

3b). When using the mask tool, when selecting to add or subtract from an already existing mask, it will always select "Add" even if your mouse is hovering over Subtract.

P.S. I am so tired of dealing with countless bugs using this app when I pay $20 a month for it (PS bundle). These aren't the only bugs I've experienced, I've just been brought to sincere rage over using an app that can't work properly with a monthly subscription. I'm so tired of this Adobe. Lower your prices or compensate users for this ridiculous experience

Sorry for the delayed response. Thank you for taking the time to share these details. I can understand how disruptive this must feel.


A couple of things to try so we can narrow this down:
 • You’re currently on version 8.4, and we’re now at 8.5.1. Please update to the latest build.
 • Corrupted preferences can cause unusual tool behavior. Please reset it by hollding down the Shift + Option while launching Lightroom. A dialog will appear asking if you want to reset preferences. Confirm, and Lightroom will create a fresh preferences file.
 

If you’re still seeing Subtract defaulting to Add in v8.5.1, could you record a short screen capture of your workflow? If multiple selections vanish, confirm whether this happens only in certain file types (RAW, DNG, JPEG, TIFF) or across all. That would help us reproduce it more reliably.

I also apologize for such a late response. I am currently on the updated version and am still experiencing the same bugs.

Please test and confirm if they help. Please share a video & screenshots of the workflow and the system info from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.
