Question

Reordering images

I am using Lightroom CC.  I reordered many of my images in Lightroom Classic before moving the file to CC.  I now find that I need to reorder some more images.  How do I do so?  All discussions of this I can find in the past (2018-2020) indicate that Ligthroom doesn't have this capacity.  Please tell me that this has changed!

Thanks.

How did you "move" your photos to Lightroom from Classic?

How and where are you viewing the photos in Lightroom?

Sorry for the ambiguity.  I have a few thousand images in a single gallery.  In Lightroom Classic, I would go into Library view, select the folder from the menu on the left, select the images I wanted to move, and then drag those images to a different order.  Put another way, if the images were listed as Image1, Image2, Image3, etc., I could use this drag-and-drop process to have them listed as Image1, Image3, Image2.  I cannot find an equivalent process in Lightroom CC.

I'm not concerned here about how Lightroom sorts the images by their existing attributes (i.e. filename, size, date, etc.).  Rather, I'm trying to find a way to move individual files around so that I can easily export images that appear in sequence.

I hope that makes more sense.

Thanks for your help.
