Revert to the Previous Album View and Support Oldest-First Sorting Option on Samsung Tablet

Is it possible to go back to the old version. The way the albums are presented is terrible.

Samsung tablet S9.

Is it also possible to set the sorting to oldest first when you open the folder?

    Hi @Fotograaf0348,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback about the album experience on your Samsung Galaxy Tab S9.

I'd like to gather a bit more detail so I can accurately document this for our team. Regarding the album view change:

    • Could you share which version of Lightroom you're currently running on your Tab S9?

    • When you say the album presentation changed, are you referring to how album covers/thumbnails are displayed on the main Albums screen (e.g., different grid size, card layout, or spacing)? Or is it the view inside an album when viewing your photos?

    • Do you recall approximately when this change happened, or the Lightroom version? Was it after a recent app update (around early July/August 2026)?

    • Could you share a screenshot of what the current view looks like for you? Also, if you happen to have a screenshot of the same view you prefer, that would be really helpful.

Regarding "oldest first" as a default sort:

I understand the frustration of needing to re-select your preferred sort order each time you open a folder. Currently, the sort order in Lightroom for Android resets to the default when navigating between albums.

    A few follow-up questions:

    1. When you say "oldest first," do you mean sorted by Capture Date (ascending)?

    2. Are you looking for this to be a global default across all your albums, or a per-album setting that "sticks" for each individual album?

Your feedback on both of these points is valuable. Please share any additional details or screenshots, and I'll make sure this gets routed to the appropriate product team.

    Best regards,
    Anshul Saini
