Saving Edited photos

I am a new Lightroom user.  After I edit my photos how do I save my edits?  I try to export my edited photos to my computer (Windows) but it saves the orginal photos and not the edited photos.  What am I doing wrong?   Please email me at:  <email address removed> if you can help me

Lightroom works with a catalog stored in the Adobe ecosystem 'Cloud'. All your edits are recorded (In real time as you edit) in the 'cloud' catalog.

If you want to Share/Export your photos with the edits applied- do not share as "Original Photo". Instead choose JPG or one of the 'Custom' options that is NOT "Original.+.Settings"

(Although "Original.+.Settings" can be useful if you intend to 'Open' the image in other Adobe Apps (Lightroom-Classic, ACR, Photoshop) as this option includes the edits as metadata with the original image file.)
