Screen freezes when importing from SD card

When I try to import from the camera SD card, the screen shows the new,photo culling facility, and the screen freezes. Have to press Cont, Alt, Del keys to get out from the frozen LRC .

    Thanks for reporting this. Since Lightroom Classic freezes specifically when importing from the SD card and showing the new Photo Culling interface, we’ll need a bit more information to narrow this down properly.

    Could you please share:

    • Your full System Info. Lightroom Classic > Help > System Info. Copy & paste it here

    • A short screen recording showing SD card insertion, Import window opening, and the freeze occurring.

    • Are you using a built-in card reader, an external USB reader, or a direct camera connection?

    • Also, please confirm the type/brand/capacity of the SD card you are using: SDXC / UHS-I / UHS-II / CFexpress, etc.

    One important test: instead of importing directly from the SD card, copy the files manually to your local SSD first, then import them into Lightroom from the SSD.

    That will help determine whether this is SD card/card reader related, Import pipeline related, or specifically tied to the new Photo Culling preview process.

    Hey, ​@Shantilal29835602vy22. Thanks for the updates. 

    Did Lightroom close normally the last time it worked, or is this a fresh installation on this machine? Try these steps:

    • Reset Lightroom by holding the OPT/ALT + SHIFT (macOS/Windows) when you launch Lightroom and select 'Yes'.
    • If this does not help, try to reinstall Lightroom Classic from the Creative Cloud desktop app.
