Search for title does not work

Search for the most simple thing - words in the title of photos - does not work in Lr (latst version on Win) for 3000 Photos imported from LrC. It's either completely broken or  server-side indexing is unbelievably slow. How long does it take after Cloud upload before I can expect to find photos by title? (BTW, I really hate the fact that search does not work locally / without internet in Lr. In this whole search/filter area, Lr is extremely flawed compared to LrC)
