Select Subject/Sky Download Workaround Not Working - Android Mobile

  1. Version of the app: Lightroom Android v8.1.2
  2. Platform and OS version: Android version 12 (I have 8GB RAM)
  3. Basic steps to reproduce the problem: I am trying to select subject and it says I need to download first (same issue with select sky) but when I click download it does nothing.
  4. Expected result and actual result: I have read about a work around where you can copy and paste a setting where AI subject was used and it will automatically download it. The download window pops up but it never changes from that (see attached screenshot)

I'll need some specific info to help you figure this out. What device are you working on? Are you on public Wifi or mobile internet?

 

Log on to Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com) & ensure everything is synced & uploaded to the cloud. Only when you're sure, try this:

  • Clear caches & data before you uninstall Lightroom.
  • Restart the device.
  • Install Lightroom.
  • Before launching Lightroom, go to Lightroom's App info in mobile settings & allow permissions to Lightroom.
  • Sign in & let me know if the issue exists.

I have a OnePlus 7T - I used to have access to subject masking on this device but after it updated it seems to not want to download.

 

I have tried on two different wifis (one at work and one at home) as well as mobile internet and none of them are working.

 

Even though I had tried them before, I followed your steps and I am still not able to use subject or sky masks as it will not download.
