What’s the easiest/best way to keep track of who receives the photos I share, and which photos are being shared? I plan to be sharing lots of photos soon and I can't rely on my memory, so I have to ask around. I appreciate all useful suggestions.

Hi @Sameer K,

Re #Africa, what I had in mind was the many photos I see posted in Instagram or Facebook having the "#" placed in front of a word that might describe the photo, so the photo would come up when someone does a search for that word. Example: the photo with "#africa" attached to it would come up when someone does a search for "Africa," at least that's how I think it works. If I do that with an album I create, would I have that result? The next question is, where do I place that reference in the album, in the album name or in the name of a photo? I hope I'm not creating a puzzle for you.

You can add relevant Keywords to your images before you share your album and the recipient viewers can sort based on your  Keywords*.

There are ways to keep track of shared Albums. 

When you share an album in Lightroom, it gets sub-categorized as a Shared Album in the Album section. (https://adobe.ly/3GXYgpC)

Thank you @Sameer K. That's quite a comprehensive article. Towards the end, there is this statement: "Click the folders icon to upload a PNG or JPG file. Use the rest of the given settings to rotate, set anchor points, adjust the size, opacity, and horizontal and vertical offsets to position your graphical watermark the way you want." I added the emphasis. Is there a way to rotate the graphic or text at an angle other than 90 degrees? I would love to be able to do that.

Regarding my keeping track of who gets which photos in albums, I know I can make a spreadsheet, but that can get cumbersome real fast. Can you think of or describe a more graceful way of doing this?

One last question: When I post pictures in albums or websites, can I still use "#Africa" (as an example)?

Thanks for the response, @Richard2138. Currently, a watermark can be rotated at increments of 90 degrees only. If you plan to use a Graphic watermark, you can preprocess the watermark graphics by recreating them at the desired angle and applying them in Lightroom without any rotation.

 

Regarding tracking Albums, let's wait for our Community Experts to add any insights because apart from the Shared Album groups, I would've defaulted back to spreadsheets myself.

 

The last question is unclear, do you wish to use #Africa as a Title of the Album, or the Album name?
