Single-core usage vs multi-core usage

I would like to request for your team to optimize Lightroom and Lightroom classic to take advantage of multi-core performance, rather than rely on single-core performance. These programs have become so bloated and heavy that even with the latest, fastest, most efficient chips from Apple (M4 Max & M5 Max), routine tasks like selecting different items in the panel take up to 20-30 seconds to respond. This is unacceptable, and makes Lightroom almost unusable. Please optimize these programs to use more than a single core when editing. Make it an opt-in, kind of like the GPU acceleration in the settings. Simple, probably easy for your software engineers, and your customers will love you for it. Thanks!
