Sky Mask precision gone. Android 8.0.1

After the update to V8.0.1, adding a mask and choosing Select Sky gives a mask with very little precision to the edges. It had been working with great precision for the past year.

I tried adding a mask to and old image with a previous mask and the difference is huge. 

Attached screenshot shows it well

Google Pixel 3 running Android 12.

Hope there is a fix for this.
